From irrigation to swimming pools.
More than 55 years working with water. GARCAM was founded in Balaguer in 1969, working in precast concrete, irrigation channels, pipework and hydraulic installations.
A career built around a single element.
For decades we have worked around one element: water. Capturing it, carrying it, distributing it, filtering it, and making sure every installation runs properly for many years.
In 1999 we added pool construction to our activity. What began as a new line of work gradually became one of our main specialisms.
Today we have more than 25 years of pool building behind us and more than 1,000 installations completed, for private clients, companies and public administrations alike.
Our experience in hydraulics still shapes the way we work. A good pool does not depend on its appearance alone. Behind a good finish there must be a properly executed structure, correctly sized hydraulics, adequate drainage and a plant room built to run efficiently and reliably.
One team, from start to finish
At GARCAM we carry out the main stages of every project directly. We excavate, build, waterproof, line, install, connect and commission the pool with our own staff.
Our payroll includes bricklayers, plumbers, electricians and specialist pool technicians, along with our own machinery and equipment: excavators, lorries, cranes, site equipment and formwork systems.
This model gives us greater control over quality, deadlines and coordination on every job. For the client it means something simple: a single point of contact and a single party responsible throughout the project, from the first excavation to the moment the water is turned on.
We build with what cannot be seen in mind
A pool should look good, but above all it must be well built. That is why we pay particular attention to the elements that will be hidden once the work is finished: structures, waterproofing, drainage, pipework, returns, electrical installations and plant rooms.
These are what separate a pool that looks good on day one from a pool built to work for many years. Our aim is not to compete on price alone, but to deliver a complete, reliable and technically sound construction.
Experience in the public sector too
A significant part of our track record involves projects for public administrations and municipal facilities. We have worked on pools and related works in towns such as Balaguer, Lleida, Guissona, Preixens, Algerri, La Sentiu de Sió, Térmens, Guimerà and Tarragona, among many others.
These are projects delivered under technical specifications, site supervision, quality requirements and defined completion deadlines. That same level of demand is what we bring to every private pool.
